Description:

Powder Coat equipment supplier looking for someone to service and repair Powder-Coat paint booths and equipment.

General Purpose of Job:

Work at customers facility as well as facility where equipment is manufactured to assist in the proper start-up, troubleshooting, and regular maintenance of Powder Coating equipment

Major Responsibilities:

Must be able to repair Powder Coating equipment.

Must be able to Head projects.

Must be able to trouble shoot problems as they arise.

Work in coordination with Sales Department for both existing/new sales customers and projects.

Work in coordination with Quality Department to resolve quality related issues; make recommendations for temporary and long-term solutions.

Work in coordination with the Production Department for new and existing product testing and trials, engineering line parameter changes and to minimize equipment/maintenance down-time

Work in coordination with all team members to achieve desired results.

Assist with line maintenance and equipment projects as needed. Investigate and research equipment, maintenance and processing trends to improve efficiency.

Interface with appropriate outside vendors.

Work with outside contractors to resolve all equipment functional issues; ensure safety requirements are being met.

Must have working knowledge of the following:

3 Phase 240/480V and single phase 110/220V electrical

Electric Motors/Relays/Motor Starters

Pneumatic and Hydraulic equipment

Overhead cranes and hoists

Pumps – Diaphragm and electric impeller styles

Electric Component Controllers

Steel shop equipment such as Shears, Brakes, Threaders, Chamfering equipment, Punches, Benders, Shot Blast equipment, Wash stations, Sanders/Grinders, lab equipment, Saws, Welders, Etc.

Water/Gas Lines – Pipes, Hoses, etc.

Combustion Burners/Heaters-Electric Burners/Heaters

PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)

Qualifications:

Must have valid Photo ID

Must have experience in Powder Coat applications

Must have good analytical skills; good written and communication skills.

Must have a record of dependability and good attendance

Must have mechanical abilities to correct (assist) with equipment problems.

Must be confined space and lock-out/ tag-out trained and work in a safe manner.

Must be able to follow proper purchasing procedure for ordering product.

Must be able to present yourself in a professional manner when dealing with customers and vendors.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule; be available during of-shift hours; be available to travel as needed.

Must be able to work well with others in coordinating multiple tasks involving several process steps.

Must be able to submit multiple recommendations based on cost effectiveness, quality effectiveness, processing effectiveness and customer satisfaction. Then present “best case” recommendation.

Must be detail oriented

Able to pass drug and background screens

Ability to weld a plus

Must be willing to be “hands on”

Must have Coating experience
